Jerusalem, Israel 2008
Jerusalem is an amazing mixture of three distinct cultures (Jewish, Christian & Muslim). All lay claim to the city as the birthplace of their religion and accept pretty much the same history of the world prior to Jesus. All of the places you read about in the bible are so close that you can almost throw rocks between them and I was amazed at the tiny-ness of the old biblical city.
